The flight simulator manufacturer located in Ankara, Turkiye has delivered its fifth comprehensive flight simulator to Turkish Airlines. The latest unit, an Airbus A320 full flight simulator, was dispatched and installed in May 2024 and is currently undergoing site acceptance testing. This marks the second Airbus A320 full flight simulator that HAVELSAN has contributed to Turkish Airlines in 2024 and is part of the airline’s procurement agreement for a total of eleven Airbus A320 ceo/neos and Boeing B737MAX full flight simulators as well as Flight Training Devices (FTDs).
In May, another full flight simulator crafted by HAVELSAN, utilized by Turkish Airlines, received European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Level D certification. “We are pleased to announce the first Airbus A320 EASA full flight simulator accreditation for a HAVELSAN-developed unit in 2024. It symbolizes our shared dedication with Turkish Airlines to ensure that the simulator training framework complies with international standards,” emphasized Mehmet Akif Nacar, Ph.D., CEO of HAVELSAN.
In 2023, multiple HAVELSAN Boeing B737MAX full flight simulators achieved EASA Level D Certification, and HAVELSAN partnered with Turkish Airlines through a training center collaboration.
For 2024, HAVELSAN announced its intentions to bolster initiatives and support for airlines and simulator training facilities, including the potential to produce up to eight full flight simulators each year. The firm aims to assist airlines in developing their simulator training center operations through versatile solutions.
