Unveiling Tomorrow: Meet the Groundbreaking Yak-130M Prototype!
The initial Yak-130M prototype has recently been completed at the Irkutsk Aviation Facility. This prototype will concentrate on ground and airborne evaluations.
«The Yak-130M was designed based on the insights and successful techniques gleaned from aerial engagements in local and regional skirmishes. The progress of lightweight military planes evolving from training bases aligns with global advancements in military aviation,» stated Dmitry Popov, the Deputy Chief Designer for the Yak-130 initiative.
The Yak-130M signifies an enhancement of the Yak-130 series, featuring capabilities tailored to instruct pilots for fourth and fifth generation jet fighters. The main objective of the upgrades is to elevate the aircraft’s combat efficiency. The revised version can carry both air-to-air and air-to-ground munitions.
The incorporation of state-of-the-art onboard technologies will empower the Yak-130M to operate efficiently for both training and combat missions at any time and in challenging weather conditions. As a result, the aircraft is now outfitted with an BRLS-130R aerial radar system, an SOLT-130K optical-laser-IR imaging apparatus, a “President-S130” countermeasure mechanism, and a KSS-130 communication framework.
