ADSB Launches Pioneering Vessel as Part of the Renowned FALAJ 3 Project
The EDGE Group’s subsidiary, Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB), a regional leader in the design, production, refurbishment, upkeep, and transformation of both military and commercial vessels, celebrated a significant milestone with the launch of the first FALAJ 3 class ship during a ceremony held at the ADSB dockyard. This debut marks a pivotal advancement in fulfilling the agreement with the Ministry of Defence (MOD), laying the groundwork for an advanced fleet of ships aimed at enhancing national defense capabilities.
Under the leadership of Rear Admiral Pilot Staff Major General Sheikh Saeed bin Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Commander of the UAE Naval Forces, the event attracted distinguished dignitaries, military officers, and senior executives from EDGE and ADSB to honor the vessel’s launch.
David Massey, the Chief Executive Officer of ADSB, remarked: “The launch of the initial FALAJ3 ship strengthens ADSB’s expertise in shipbuilding and signifies a notable progress in delivering cutting-edge, highly sophisticated vessels that include the latest mission systems and advanced armaments. This enlargement of ADSB’s capabilities and varied product offerings emphasizes our commitment to furthering the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Defence. As we enhance this partnership, we remain focused on innovation and exceptional performance to meet the evolving demands of the nation’s security environment.”
