Innovative Partnership: ADSB and LACROIX Revolutionize RABDAN FA-400 with Advanced Decoy Solutions

EDGE Group’s affiliate, Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB), a distinguished frontrunner in the design, construction, restoration, upkeep, retrofitting, and transformation of both naval and commercial crafts, has established a strategic partnership with LACROIX, a leading French firm specialized in naval countermeasures and decoy systems. This collaboration is aimed at integrating LACROIX’s innovative decoy technology into ADSB’s recently unveiled FA-400 Fast Attack vessel.

The partnership agreement was ratified by David Massey, CEO of ADSB, and François Moulinier, COO of LACROIX during the EURONAVAL 2024 Exhibition, which is currently underway in Paris and will continue until November 8.

David Massey, CEO of ADSB, remarked, “This partnership with LACROIX enhances the RABDAN FA-400 – a 45-meter, tailor-made patrol vessel designed for rapid deployment and coastal defense operations – with proven, advanced decoy systems. This significantly amplifies its defensive capabilities, ensuring preparedness for military engagements, search and rescue operations, surveillance endeavors, and patrolling in today’s dynamic maritime environments.”

François Moulinier, COO of LACROIX commented: “Collaborating with ADSB on the FA-400 enables us to incorporate our advanced decoy systems into a new generation of patrol vessels, merging French ingenuity with UAE maritime expertise. Our technology, successfully utilized on over 30 vessels globally, offers improved protection against a variety of intricate threats, thereby strengthening naval defense capabilities on an international level.”

The RABDAN FA-400, outfitted with LACROIX’s cutting-edge decoy system, is set to be showcased at the Naval Defence Exhibition & Conference (NAVDEX), scheduled to be held in Abu Dhabi from February 17-21, 2025.
