Boeing has secured a series of multiyear agreements valued at approximately $2.7 billion to produce additional Patriot Advanced Capability‑3 (PAC‑3) seekers. Under these agreements, Boeing will deliver over 3,000 seekers at production rates reaching up to 750 units each year through 2030.

Boeing is working hand-in-hand with primary contractor Lockheed Martin and the U.S. Army to further elevate production rates and meet emerging targets for the PAC‑3 interceptor. The surge in seeker production is crucial for maintaining the Patriot system’s capacity to protect service members, civilians, and essential infrastructure worldwide as threats evolve.

“Our team has never been more effectively positioned to meet the nation’s requirements for improved air and missile defense,” remarked Jim Bryan, executive director of Boeing Integrated Air & Missile Defense. “These multiyear agreements underscore the progress we’ve made and will empower us to accommodate the rising global demand for the PAC‑3 seeker.”

PAC-3 seekers manufactured by Boeing enable Patriot interceptors to detect, track, and neutralize advanced threats, including hypersonic risks, hostile aircraft, and both ballistic and cruise missiles. The demand for PAC‑3 interceptors has escalated in response to recent conflicts and the rapidly changing threat environments in Ukraine, the Middle East, and the Indo-Pacific region.

In 2025, the company established new monthly and 12-month rolling average production goals, targeting the delivery of a record-breaking 650 to 700 seekers by year’s end. Years of internal investments, enhancements to production lines, strengthened supplier partnerships, and the completion of a new 35,000-square-foot factory expansion have significantly boosted Boeing’s production capabilities.

Since the year 2000, Boeing has delivered over 6,000 increasingly advanced PAC‑3 seekers to the U.S. Army while functioning as a Lockheed Martin subcontractor from its facilities in Huntsville, Alabama. Seventeen nations, including the United States, rely on PAC‑3 interceptors to protect individuals and strategic infrastructure globally.
