Condor Joins Forces with Hungary’s 4iG S&D to Unveil Cutting-Edge Non-Lethal Innovations Hub
CONDOR, a leading Brazilian entity in non-lethal innovations and a participant of the UAE’s EDGE Group, has established a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 4iG Space and Defence Technologies (S&D), an influential telecommunications, IT, and defence-industrial conglomerate in Hungary and the Western Balkans, to explore the establishment of a regional center in Hungary for advanced non-lethal technologies.
Under the framework of the MoU, 4iG S&D and CONDOR will evaluate opportunities for developing non-lethal innovations in Hungary, encompassing potential technology transfers, production, training, capacity building, and collaborative research ventures.
Frederico Aguiar, Chief Executive Officer of CONDOR, articulated: “With robust backing from EDGE, our partnership with 4iG S&D signifies a critical step forward in Hungary’s defence landscape and enhances the overarching European security architecture. This MoU reflects our shared commitment to providing sovereign, localized non-lethal technologies that strengthen the capabilities of Central European law enforcement and regional security agencies. By fostering enduring alliances across Europe, we aim to stimulate innovation, reinforce industrial collaboration, and help drive the evolution of next-generation technologies that safeguard our communities.”
The aim of the lasting partnership between 4iG SDT and EDGE is to create joint innovations that are globally competitive and address the technological and security policy requirements of NATO nations. The cooperation framework recently established with CONDOR lays the foundation for a regional hub focused on limited-impact, non-lethal defence solutions through joint innovations, knowledge exchange, and industrial synergies. “The agreement exemplifies cross-continental collaboration and serves as a prime model,” remarked István Sárhegyi, Chief Executive Officer of 4iG SDT.
This MoU for state-of-the-art non-lethal technologies signifies the latest stride in EDGE’s ongoing partnership with 4iG S&D. In July of this year, EDGE and 4iG S&D formalized three MoUs to promote substantial and wide-ranging industrial collaboration between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Hungary, which includes investigating the co-development and production of EDGE’s SKYKNIGHT aerial defence missile system, SHADOW 25 and SHADOW 50 loitering munitions, and VEGA and ORION unmanned air traffic control solutions.
The agreements emphasize EDGE’s steadfast dedication to strengthening ties with crucial European defence ecosystems through vibrant collaborations and delivering co-developed, export-ready technologies that meet the evolving modernization needs of NATO member states.
