GE Aerospace has clinched a contract valued at up to USD 5 billion from the U.S. Air Force. This arrangement, structured as an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, will facilitate Foreign Military Sales (FMS) for the F110-GE-129 engine, which powers the F-15 and F-16 aircraft employed by partner nations worldwide.

The F110 engine has accumulated over 11 million flight hours and is recognized for delivering the highest thrust within its class. With 40 years of continuous production and technological advancements, this engine remains an essential component in military aviation.

This contract underscores GE Aerospace’s steadfast commitment to ensuring the operational readiness of U.S. Air Force allies. It guarantees the continuous availability of the F110 engine for international fleets, enhancing its reliability and effectiveness in defense missions.
