SABRE Unveiled: Pioneering Tactical Mastery for Special Operations at IDET 2025!

Arquus Exhibits Its Expertise at IDET 2025 in the Czech Republic The IDET trade fair kicked off today in the Czech Republic, gathering esteemed European defense organizations. Arquus is presenting its solutions for ground forces, demonstrating a strong commitment to enhancing its local participation and addressing the specific needs of Czech military personnel. The LEV, SABRE—the benchmark for special operations—highlights Arquus’ mastery in tactical mobility and defense measures for rapid response units. It is presented in the configuration aimed at the 43rd Parachute Regiment based in Chrudim, directly mirroring the operational requirements of the Czech forces.

Introducing SABRE: a state-of-the-art light patrol vehicle, intricately designed for elite teams and special operations. It embodies a clear mission: to empower operators engaged in the most demanding tasks with a reliable, nimble, robust, and fully customizable tactical platform.

Crafted for Elite Teams in Demanding Operations

Special operations forces operate in harsh surroundings, frequently functioning independently and deep within unsecured areas, whether urban or desert, around the clock. Their assignments demand stealth, mobility, firepower, durability, and a significant payload capacity. The SABRE you observe now meets these specific criteria.

Building on Arquus’ extensive experience supporting the French Army and various allied forces worldwide, SABRE is already in service with multiple special operations units. It is NATO-certified, ensuring interoperability and compliance with top operational standards.

The SABRE can accommodate up to 7 fully equipped operators, featuring a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 11 tons, while transporting a wide range of gear, arms, ammunition, and communication systems. Its modular framework accommodates primary weapons such as a remote-controlled turret, as well as mission-specific equipment like electronic warfare systems, long-range reconnaissance, laser targeting, satellite communications, or jamming technology.

SABRE: Optimized for Performance and Independence

In terms of performance, the SABRE is powered by a robust 260 hp engine. It features a 6-speed automatic transmission and a 4×4 drivetrain, providing exceptional mobility. The vehicle comes equipped with solid axles, springs, and dampers, a wheelbase of 4.1 meters, and 365/80 R20 tires with run-flat capabilities, ensuring stability and performance across diverse terrains, even at full load. The SABRE is also designed for durability and self-sufficiency. It includes essential systems for prolonged missions such as:

  • Cabin heating for extreme environments, primarily to facilitate engine start-up in extremely cold conditions, down to -32°C
  • A battery management system
  • A 310 A alternator for powering all onboard systems
  • A CTIS tire pressure management system
  • An integrated spare wheel

Ergonomics, Dependability, and Tailored Customization

However, beyond its technical attributes, it is SABRE’s design philosophy that sets it apart. Crafted by and for operators, the vehicle prioritizes ergonomics, usability, and battlefield functionality. It is fully customizable and adaptable to meet specific operational requirements and engagement contexts.

SABRE is equipped with two independent fuel tanks, providing it with an extended operational range in the field. Should one tank compromise, the vehicle can still carry on its mission. It also features a dual electrical system to enhance reliability.

The vehicle showcased here at IDET has been developed in close partnership with our local collaborator VTÚ, specifically tailored to fulfill the expectations of the Czech military authorities. This collaboration exemplifies Arquus’ dedication to establishing a strong local footprint, delivering not only cutting-edge technology but also support and customized solutions to address national needs.

SABRE epitomizes Arquus’ vision for special operations forces: stealth, firepower, agility, independence, and total mission adaptability. It stands as a tactical superiority asset, designed to assist the most committed soldiers in their most sensitive and challenging assignments.
