“Charting New Horizons: Indonesia’s Intent Document Paves the Way for Operational Brilliance”
- Indonesia has recently concluded a new Letter of Intent (LOI) for the procurement of additional CAESAR artillery units along with corresponding 155mm munitions;
- This LOI will enhance industrial cooperation between KNDS and Indonesia, promoting domestic production;
- With 56 operational CAESAR units in the Indonesian army, Indonesia ranks as the third most equipped nation in modern CAESAR artillery platforms.
Indonesia keen to boost its CAESAR artillery capabilities
A global leader in artillery and ammunition systems, KNDS France is committed to strengthening its industrial partnership with Indonesian DTIB through the transfer of knowledge, technology, and assembly of artillery armaments in Indonesia.
KNDS has already supplied 56 CAESAR units (equipping 3 battalions) to TNI, elevating Indonesia to the position of the 3rd largest CAESAR customer worldwide and the largest in Asia. Furthermore, the Marinirs Corps of the Indonesian Navy operates 20 105LG light towed artillery pieces.
We appreciate the solid support from both the Indonesian and French Ministries of Defense following the recent Letter of Intent, which was formalized during French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Jakarta.
