EDGE Teams Up with PT Pindad to Revolutionize Ammunition Manufacturing
EDGE, acknowledged as one of the foremost advanced technology and defense enterprises worldwide, finalized a USD 27 million (AED 99 million) deal today to deliver an ammunition production line to PT Pindad, an Indonesian government-owned corporation and a prominent defense manufacturer in Asia.
The deal involves the production of 5.56x45mm and 7.62x51mm caliber ammunition, aligning with the Indonesian Ministry of Defence’s goal to enhance local job prospects and improve domestic production capacities. The ammunition facility is expected to commence operations in 2026.
This pact is part of an ongoing effort between both nations aimed at increasing bilateral trade to USD 10 billion by 2030 under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement.
