
Forging the Future: Revolutionary 6×6 Cavalry Vehicle Collaboration by FNSS, TSD, Grupo Oesía, and John Cockerill Defense at FEINDEF 2025
– In a noteworthy leap towards enhancing Spain’s ground combat capabilities, leading defense enterprises FNSS, TSD, Grupo Oesía, and John Cockerill Defense have ratified a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at FEINDEF 2025 to jointly propose a cutting-edge 6×6 cavalry vehicle solution to the Spanish Army.
This strategic partnership integrates leading-edge expertise in armored vehicle engineering, turret systems, advanced optronics, and domestic production capacities to deliver a deployable, technologically advanced military vehicle tailored to modern battlefield requirements.
According to the agreement, the collaborators will unite efforts in the following areas:
• Vehicle manufacturing and assembly
• Armored vehicle design
• Optronic system provision
• Manned turret integration
The joint offering will furnish the Spanish Army with a military off-the-shelf solution that includes localized integrated logistics support and comprehensive lifecycle management.
Boosting Domestic Industry and Technological Excellence
TSD, a Spanish company with over 25 years of expertise and more than 15,000 vehicles supplied globally, will lead local vehicle assembly and production.
Grupo Oesía, a notable Spanish multinational centered on dual-use digital and industrial engineering, will enhance the project with its advanced skills in optronics, secure communications, simulations, and UAV systems.
FNSS, a prestigious Turkish supplier of land systems, contributes its expansive portfolio in wheeled and tracked armored combat vehicles, engineering solutions, and unmanned systems.
John Cockerill Defense, renowned for its military engineering expertise, will integrate its TRL 9-certified 3030 manned turret, featuring a 30mm airburst-capable weapon system, STANAG 4569 Level 4 protection, and 250 ready-to-fire rounds—delivering a 20% increase in firepower compared to comparable systems.

Customized specifically for cavalry and expeditionary operations, the 6×6 armored platform combines exceptional survivability, mobility, and lethality. Over 300 units of the 3030 turret have already been manufactured, deployed, and are actively operational, underscoring its proven reliability and efficiency.
This MoU not only represents a shared dedication to modernizing the Spanish Armed Forces but also strengthens industrial collaboration within Europe’s defense sector.
