
“John Cockerill Celebrates Triumph with Today’s Arquus Acquisition Reveal!”
John Cockerill today announces the successful finalization of the acquisition process for Arquus, the premier French supplier of military vehicles, which commenced last January in collaboration with the Volvo Group.
The completion of this deal follows the recent establishment of a Memorandum of Understanding between France and Belgium to support and oversee this alliance, with both nations contributing 10% each to the equity of John Cockerill Defense.

In addition to Arquus© vehicles and Cockerill© armament systems, both leaders in their sectors, John Cockerill Defense intends to provide integrated solutions featuring vehicles equipped with light tank turrets to more effectively support ground forces worldwide. The corporation aims for an annual turnover of 1 billion euros and aspires to hire 2,000 specialists by 2026, establishing a global presence with substantial operational headquarters in Belgium, France, Italy, India, and Saudi Arabia.
John Cockerill received guidance from Crédit Agricole CIB as the exclusive Financial Advisor for this transaction, which was supported by Crédit Agricole CIB (Coordinator and Agent), BNP Paribas Fortis, and Société Générale Corporate and Investment Banking.
