“Transformative Partnership: US and Netherlands Launch Revolutionary JASSM-ER Missile Agreement”

U.S. and Netherlands delegates finalized a Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LoA) agreement to procure Lockheed Martin’s (NYSE: LMT) Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile Extended Range (JASSM-ER). With this agreement, the Netherlands becomes JASSM’s fifth global purchaser.

“We are honored to partner with the U.S. Government to provide the Netherlands Armed Forces with a battle-tested and operationally effective weapon system crafted to meet their ever-evolving strategic defense needs,” remarked Scott Redmerski, JASSM program director at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control.

The latest iteration of JASSM-ER features upgrades in both hardware and software, providing enhanced functionalities and more flexible options to adapt to the warfighter’s changing mission requirements.

JASSM has witnessed over 20 years of prosperous collaboration with the U.S. Air Force, delivering continuous substantial long-range precision strike capabilities for air-to-ground operations. The combat-tested and operationally effective weapon system is engineered to neutralize high-value, well-defended targets from significant standoff distances, ensuring aircrews remain securely outside the threat zone of hostile air defense systems without sacrificing lethality or reach.
