Airbus Joins Forces with Côte d’Ivoire for Groundbreaking Collaboration
Airbus Partners with Côte d’Ivoire to Boost Aerospace Industry
Airbus and the government of Côte d’Ivoire have signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering the growth of the country’s aerospace sector, integral to its economic ambitions.
The MoU was signed today by His Excellency Amadou Koné, the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, and Mikail Houari, President of Airbus Africa and the Middle East. The event took place in the presence of His Excellency Daniel Kablan Duncan, Vice President of Côte d’Ivoire, alongside Guillaume Faury, President of Airbus Commercial Aircraft.
This collaborative agreement outlines a comprehensive framework for exploring avenues of cooperation, focusing on the aerospace sector’s development in Côte d’Ivoire across various dimensions.
“We are optimistic that our partnership with Airbus will significantly drive Côte d’Ivoire’s economic growth, establish a robust industrial framework, create job opportunities, and enhance capacity building in our country,” stated Duncan. “We are dedicated to realizing our vision of making Côte d’Ivoire a premier hub for aerospace technology in Africa,” he emphasized.
Guillaume Faury highlighted the importance of collaboration between public and private sectors in fostering economic and industrial advancement. “Through this MoU, we aim to closely collaborate with Côte d’Ivoire’s government, share valuable expertise, seek mutual opportunities, and support initiatives geared towards developing a resilient and sustainable aerospace sector. At Airbus, we are committed to facilitating sustainable socioeconomic progress in Africa through such alliances,” he remarked.
