Bell Unveils Trio of Huey IIs for Lebanese Air Force Reinforcement
This month, Bell supplied three Bell UH-1H-IIs to the Lebanese Air Force (LAF). These helicopters will enhance their current fleet and be deployed for search and rescue, troop transport, firefighting, and utility tasks.
“We are honored to assist the LAF with additional Huey II helicopters, which will improve their operational efficiency,” stated Tim Evans, regional sales manager for Africa and the Middle East. “This reliable platform equips their squadron with the most efficient utility helicopter available.”
The LAF has operated the UH-1 series helicopters since the early 1990s in various capacities. Recently, its Huey IIs played a crucial role in extinguishing fires resulting from the port explosion in Beirut.
“The LAF is privileged to incorporate three additional Huey IIs into our fleet,” commented Commander BG Heykal of the LAF. “We appreciate this aircraft for its versatile mission capabilities, dependability, and robustness, and we are grateful to the Bell team for their exceptional customer support and longstanding collaboration.”
The Bell UH-1H-II is a multi-functional, single-engine helicopter known for its high operational readiness and low maintenance costs. It boasts the highest payload capacity in its category and excels in various mission setups.
