Major Contract Award for Boeing’s Small Diameter Bomb
Boeing secures a substantial contract valued at $2,239,707,532 for the advanced Small Diameter Bomb Increment I program.
This significant contract guarantees a minimum Lot 15 award and establishes a five-year period for ordering focused lethality munitions, including containers and carriages. The deal supports the U.S. Department of Defense and partner nations engaged in Foreign Military Sales.
Operations will take place in St. Louis, Missouri, with an expected completion date set for September 2027. This timeline reflects Boeing’s commitment to delivering top-tier munitions technology.
The contract also encompasses Foreign Military Sales to various countries such as Australia, Belgium, Israel, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, and Norway. At the time of award, fiscal years 2018, 2019, and 2020 missile procurement funds totaling $247,508,960 are being allocated.
