KAPLAN MT: The Exclusive User-Qualified Turkish Medium Tank Deployed with an Army
The KAPLAN MT stands out as the first tank-class platform mass-produced in Türkiye, now serving in an army’s inventory. Co-developed by FNSS and PT Pindad under a Defense Industry Cooperation Agreement between Türkiye and Indonesia.
Equipped with a command control system and a laser warning system to enhance situational awareness for the vehicle commander, the KAPLAN MT exemplifies a sophisticated platform with impressive firepower capabilities and cutting-edge technologies. Its design features advanced ballistic and mine protection systems, permitting the use of various firepower options. Notably, it integrates the Pulat active protection system.
Marine Assault Vehicle Now Operational with the NAVY
The Marine Assault Vehicle (MAV), showcased alongside the CAKA Remote Controlled Weapon Station (RWS) at IDEF, is now the first domestically produced armored combat vehicle within the Turkish Navy’s arsenal. MAV adeptly covers distances during ship-to-shore, shore-to-ship, and shore-to-shore operations, allowing units to quickly disembark under protective cover and fire support. Designed by FNSS to cater to marine infantry needs, MAV is a modern amphibious vehicle available in four unique variants: Personnel Carrier, Command Vehicle, Recovery Vehicle, and Mine Breaching Vehicle.
PARS IV 6×6 S-Ops Vehicle: The Sole Chosen & Deployed 6×6 Wheeled Armoured Vehicle by the Turkish Armed Forces
The PARS IV 6×6 Special Operations Vehicle, featured at the FNSS booth with the SANCAK Remote-Controlled Weapon Station (RWS), is actively used by the Turkish Army Special Forces Command. It is the first 6×6 armored vehicle integrated into the Turkish Armed Forces’ inventory. The PARS IV 6×6 is engineered to exceed its predecessors regarding mission equipment, situational awareness, mobility, firepower, and protection from mines, IEDs, artillery fragments, and heavy machine gun fire. The vehicle features two independent SANCAK RWS systems developed by FNSS, equipped with a universal gun mount suitable for 7.62 mm or 12.7 mm machine guns and 40 mm automatic grenade launchers, adaptable as per operational demands.
This vehicle is outfitted with advanced mission equipment ensuring combat readiness, safer navigation, command/control, and rapid targeting. It has been meticulously engineered to transport special operations personnel to their objectives in potentially dangerous areas while providing direct fire support on the battlefield. The vehicle maintains high ballistic, mine, and IED protection levels, supplemented by the RPG net intended to safeguard the crew and powerpack against unpredictable threats.
PARS SCOUT 8×8 Special Purpose Vehicle: The Sole Selected 8×8 Wheeled Armoured Vehicle by the Turkish Armed Forces
Visitors at the FNSS stand will have the opportunity to see the 8×8 version of the PARS SCOUT family, displayed for the first time at IDEF with a 25mm Remote-Controlled Turret. Developed under the Special Purpose Tactical Wheeled Armoured Vehicles project initiated by the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) to meet the Turkish Armed Forces’ needs, the PARS SCOUT 8×8 is exceptionally designed for reconnaissance and internal security operations, providing tactical advantages through enhanced situational awareness.
This vehicle excels in mobility across varied terrains, offers superior ballistic and mine protection, and integrates modern technology. FNSS will supply 6×6 and 8×8 variants to the Turkish Land Forces and Gendarmerie through the domestic development model. As the first 8×8 wheeled armored vehicle family joining the Turkish Armed Forces’ inventory, production is currently ongoing as outlined in the program timeline. The PARS SCOUT incorporates a two-person driver compartment at the front, shielded by ballistic glass, ensuring high safety, situational awareness, and comfort. Cameras installed at both the front and rear offer exceptional visibility for the driver and commander during day and night operations. The PARS SCOUT not only meets the protective criteria of mine-resistant vehicles designed for troop transportation but distinguishes itself through the expected agility of a contemporary armored combat vehicle. The modular integration of vehicle subsystems with its mine-resistant hull guarantees ease of maintenance and swift replacements, enhancing advantages over predecessors.
