Boeing Secures $487 Million Apache Support Deal with the U.S. Army

The U.S. Army granted Boeing a contract worth $487 million for Apache AH-64 engineering services and technical assistance.

Boeing provided the initial U.S. Army Apache AH-64A in January 1984. Since that time, the U.S. Army and various other countries have acquired over 2,200 AH-64 Apache attack helicopters.

The AH-64E Apache is crafted and outfitted with an open systems framework incorporating the latest communication, navigation, sensor, and armament technologies. It features an enhanced Modernized Target Acquisition Designation System that offers day, night, and all-weather target data, along with night vision navigation capabilities. Beyond identifying both aerial and terrestrial targets, the Fire Control Radar has been refined for functionality in marine environments. It is exceptionally adept at fulfilling a commander’s requirements, including reconnaissance, security, peacekeeping missions, and precision strikes, across a wide range of settings – without necessitating reconfiguration.

Tasks related to this contract are projected to be fulfilled by February 6, 2026.
