
Collins Aerospace Partners with Hainan Airlines to Launch Innovative FlightSense Initiative
Collins Aerospace and Hainan Airlines of China have finalized a FlightSense® agreement today to furnish Hainan Airlines’ Boeing 787 fleet with personalized support solutions aimed at diminishing repair times and expenses. This contract extends the existing 30-year partnership between the two companies, encompassing a comprehensive total of 185 aircraft across various platforms until 2025.
The FlightSense initiative is a customized maintenance program tailored to meet the specific operational needs of Hainan Airlines. Collins will facilitate the availability of maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) supply chain management for Hainan Airlines. Included in this agreement are support products for the air management and electric power systems on Hainan Airlines’ fleet of 40 B787 aircraft. Moreover, Collins will persist in offering Hainan Airlines superior MRO services at a lower cost, leveraging Collins’ unique OEM technical expertise to enhance product performance and aircraft operational reliability.
“This marks a pivotal agreement for Collins and Hainan Airlines as we initiate a new support collaboration for their B787s, a landmark for FlightSense in China,” stated Mike Yue, regional director of customer & account management. “We eagerly anticipate delivering more extensive MRO services to guarantee the operational health of Hainan Airlines’ fleet and to boost overall efficiency.”
