Collins Aerospace Secures Long-Term Partnership to Enhance CH-47F Operations for Dutch Air Force
Collins Aerospace, a division of Raytheon Technologies Corp. (NYSE: RTX), has been granted a multi-year Performance Based Logistics (PBL) contract for avionics support to the Royal Netherlands Air Force’s (RNLAF) fleet of 15 CH-47F Chinook helicopters. Collins Aerospace will deliver field service engineering, program management, logistics support, along with repair and overhaul for the CAAS components fitted on the aircraft at Gilze-Rijen Air Base in the Netherlands.
Utilizing PBL and predictive supply and demand management, the RNLAF can minimize the required spare parts, eliminate back-orders, and streamline paperwork. This approach enhances turnaround time, improves parts availability, and results in both time and cost savings.
“We have a long-standing, successful record of supporting customer PBLs, providing the highest level of in-country service that maximizes mission readiness,” stated Craig Bries, Vice President and General Manager of Avionics Service and Support at Collins Aerospace. “As the original equipment manufacturer for the CH-47F avionics suite, we offer unparalleled expertise to ensure fleets are prepared at a moment’s notice.”
“This PBL follows a Letter of Intent established between the RNLAF and Collins Aerospace in 2019 and represents a crucial step for the RNLAF to ensure guaranteed fleet availability and in-theatre support during critical missions,” remarked Lieutenant General J.D. Luyt, Commander of the RNLAF.
Collins Aerospace possesses over 20 years of expertise in PBL contracting, boasting a full program renewal rate. This demonstrated success illustrates that PBLs enhance reliability and performance by integrating all components of a comprehensive logistics chain.
