Collins Aerospace Honored with U.S. Air Force Award for Excellence in Training Systems Acquisition

Collins Aerospace, a division of RTX (NYSE: RTX), received an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity agreement from the U.S. Air Force aimed at facilitating the advancement of cutting-edge training systems.

The contract for the Training Systems Acquisition, issued by the U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, lays the groundwork for the acquisition of a diverse range of training systems components, encompassing development, manufacturing, integration, and sustainability agreements. Collins Aerospace secured its position as one of the 37 firms chosen for this substantial $32.5 billion ceiling award.

“By capitalizing on our avionics systems innovation and established training systems frameworks, Collins can provide integrated simulation solutions that amplify operational effectiveness,” stated Sharon Tabori, senior director of Simulation and Training Solutions at Collins Aerospace. “Our demonstrated capability to offer secure, high-fidelity, and economical training has been affirmed through our involvement in this next phase of U.S. Air Force training development.”

The Training Systems Acquisition IV contract will evaluate emerging tools and technologies to enhance training capabilities for the Air Force, catering to a spectrum of aircraft platforms along with specific system-based simulation and training needs.

“In scenarios where urgency and budget are primary concerns, Collins is poised to deliver training systems throughout a continuum, incorporating both hardware and software solutions,” Tabori added.
