Navy Rafale Takes Flight: India Chooses Dassault Aviation’s Elite Fighter
The Indian Government has declared the selection of the Navy Rafale to furnish the Indian Navy with a cutting-edge combat aircraft.
Following an international competition initiated by Indian officials, this choice comes after a successful evaluation campaign conducted in India, during which the Navy Rafale proved it entirely satisfied the operational needs of the Indian Navy and was exceptionally appropriate for the distinct characteristics of its aircraft carrier.
The Indian Navy’s 26 Rafale jets will ultimately join the existing 36 Rafale aircraft, which are delivering complete satisfaction to the Indian Air Force. This positions India as the first nation to adopt the same military selection as France, operating both versions of the aircraft to help solidify its dominance in the skies and oceans, thus securing its sovereignty.
This selection underscores the superiority of the Rafale, the remarkable relationship between Dassault Aviation and the Indian Armed Forces, and highlights the significance of the strategic partnership between India and France.
“As we commemorate the 70th anniversary of our collaboration with the Indian Armed Forces, I would like to express my gratitude to the Indian authorities for this new endorsement of trust. I assure, on behalf of Dassault Aviation, that we will fully fulfill the expectations of the Indian Navy with the Rafale,” stated Eric Trappier, Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation.
