Egypt Expands Its Arsenal with 30 More Rafale Fighters from Dassault
The Arab Republic of Egypt has opted to procure an extra 30 Rafale jets to enhance its air force capabilities.
This recent deal adds to the initial acquisition of 24 Rafale aircraft finalized in February 2015, resulting in a total of 54 Rafales operated by the Egyptian Air Force. This positions Egypt as the second nation globally, following France, to manage such a fleet of Rafales.
The transaction signifies the strategic partnership between Egypt and France. It also highlights the trust that Egypt’s top authorities place in Dassault Aviation and their satisfaction with the successful fulfillment of the initial agreement.
“This new deal stands as a testament to the enduring relationship that connects Egypt, the first international operator of the Rafale—much like it was for the Mirage 2000—with Dassault Aviation for nearly five decades. It also serves as recognition of the Rafale’s operational prowess, marking the second occasion an export client has opted to acquire additional aircraft. Dassault Aviation and its collaborators extend their gratitude to the Egyptian authorities for this renewed expression of confidence and reaffirm their unwavering commitment to fulfilling their expectations,” remarked Eric Trappier, Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation.
This agreement reinforces the Rafale’s technological superiority, operational proficiency, and its triumph in the global market.
