
Soaring Spirits: UAE Hosts Thrilling Multinational Air Exercise
The international air maneuver “Desert Flag” has begun at Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), featuring the involvement of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) alongside forces from numerous allied and friendly nations.
This exercise spans a period of three weeks.
The chief commander of the Saudi Air Forces for this drill, Lieutenant Colonel Adel bin Saeed Abu Malhah, highlighted that the groundwork for the exercise was executed with the highest level of professionalism and compliance with top safety protocols, drawing upon preparedness, strategic planning, and insights gained from previous analogous exercises.

He mentioned that the RSAF is contributing with six F-15SA fighter jets, accompanied by their complete air, technical, and support teams.

Moreover, he stated that the involvement of air forces in this exercise is intended to facilitate the exchange of military knowledge in the domains of planning and execution within an environment resembling actual combat scenarios. This encompasses bolstering readiness and operational effectiveness for air and technical support teams, alongside fortifying international partnerships with the participating nations.
In addition, he pointed out that the exercise, which incorporates the UAE, Oman, Türkiye, the United States, France, and South Korea, is expected to showcase a range of flights, including defensive and offensive air operations, close air support missions, and combat search-and-rescue operations.
