Crafted by the Hongdu Aviation Industry Group under AVIC in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, the aircraft is equipped with two engines featuring an aerodynamic design and integrated avionics. It can be armed with an advanced radar for fire control and a variety of munitions, including medium-range air-to-air missiles, precision-guided bombs, and anti-ship cruise missiles.

The “L-15” aircraft achieves a maximum speed of 1000 km/h, reaches an altitude of 13,500 meters, and offers a basic range of 1700 km. It has a maximum takeoff weight of 10.7 tons and can remain airborne for approximately two and a half hours or up to 4 hours with additional fuel tanks.
