Elbit Systems Secures $95 Million Deal to Deliver Innovative SkyStriker Loitering Munitions to Europe
Elbit Systems Ltd. has revealed today that it secured a $95 million agreement to provide SkyStriker loitering munitions (LM) to a European nation. This contract will be executed over a span of two years.
Under the terms of the agreement, Elbit Systems will supply several hundred SkyStriker units.
The SkyStriker LM by Elbit Systems is a fully autonomous loitering munition capable of identifying, acquiring, and targeting operator-specified objectives with a warhead capacity of up to 10 Kg, facilitating superior precision performance. The SkyStriker can be deployed from diverse ground and air platforms, including a dedicated canister on Elbit Systems’ PULS™ (Precise and Universal Launching System) rocket artillery systems.
Fitted with an electric engine, the SkyStriker supports covert operations lasting up to 2 hours and boasts a range of 100km. The system can accurately strike targets while ensuring a “man in the loop” even in environments where GPS and communication are compromised.
The SkyStriker is compatible with a variety of warhead types, and its modular architecture allows for field interchangeability during pre-flight based on operational needs.
