Elbit Systems Emirates Secures $53 Million Deal for Advanced DIRCM and Aerial EW Defense Solutions in UAE

Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ: ESLT, TASE: ESLT) (“Elbit Systems” or the “Company”) disclosed today that its subsidiary located in the United Arab Emirates (“UAE”), Elbit Systems Emirates Limited (“Elbit Systems Emirates”), has secured an approximately $53 million agreement to provide Direct Infrared Countermeasures (“DIRCM”) and aerial Electronic Warfare (“EW”) systems for the Airbus A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport aircraft utilized by the UAE Air Force. The execution of this contract will extend over a five-year timeframe.

As part of the agreement, Elbit Systems Emirates will furnish a multi-turret setup of the J-MUSIC™ Self-Protection System, in conjunction with the Company’s Infra-Red-based Passive Airborne Warning System, ensuring exceptional levels of defense and redundancy. The Company’s DIRCM systems have amassed over 350,000 flight hours in operation to date and are currently deployed on more than 25 different types of aircraft. The Company is observing an increasing demand for such self-defense capabilities due to the escalating risks that aircraft encounter from shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles.

Elbit Systems considers the UAE as a crucial market and asserts that this contract sanction further emphasizes the technological superiority and maturity of the solutions provided by the Company in this domain.
