Embraer Unveils the E195-E2 at Malaysia’s LIMA 2023 Showcase
Embraer’s E195-E2, renowned as the globe’s most efficient and quietest single-aisle jet, will be showcased at the 16th edition of the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) commencing on May 23, 2023.
The E195-E2 represents the latest and most eco-friendly aircraft within its category, currently operated by airlines like KLM, Azul (Brazil), and more recently, Canada’s Porter Airlines. With the ability to accommodate up to 146 passengers, the E195-E2, which commenced operations only in 2019, is a key player in the cutting-edge E2 family transforming the regional aviation market through sustainable technologies, superior in-flight comfort, exceptional operational efficiency, and optimal range. This aircraft covers a distance of 2,600 nautical miles, approximately equivalent to seven hours of flight time.
“We’re excited to present the E195-E2 at LIMA 2023 – the most recent addition to commercial aviation and the largest model within our E-Jet series,” stated Raul Villaron, Vice President of Asia Pacific for Embraer Commercial Aviation. “The contemporary cabin design featuring Embraer’s signature two-by-two seating is favored by travelers looking to bypass the dreaded middle seat. The aircraft’s outstanding economics and performance provide airlines with a powerful avenue to expand their regional services and open new routes while simultaneously reducing fuel consumption and noise pollution.”
In early July 2022, Embraer and Pratt & Whitney accomplished successful tests on an E195-E2 aircraft utilizing 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). With 100% SAF, the 25% reduction in emissions achieved by the E2 compared to the first-generation E-Jets can be enhanced up to an incredible 85%. Moreover, the E195-E2 showcased its steep approach capabilities by successfully landing and taking off from London’s renowned City Airport (LCY) shortly after last year’s Farnborough Airshow.
