“Emirates Defense Technology Partners with Steadicopter to Revolutionize Rotary Drone Solutions in the UAE”
A prominent UAE-based integrator specializing in all-encompassing defense solutions, and Steadicopter – a frontrunner in the Rotary Unmanned Aerial Systems (RUAS) sector, are collaborating on the provision of Steadicopter’s advanced rotary tactical unmanned aerial vehicles. The duo will customize Steadicopter’s RUAV products to align with the evolving demands of diverse clientele within the UAE and other specialized market niches.
“As EDT maintains its commitment to delivering pioneering, innovative, bespoke solutions to our clients, we identified Steadicopter and its Eagle series – a platform of offerings that harmonizes perfectly with our existing products manufactured in the region,” remarks Mohamed Bin Jabr Al Suwaidi, Owner & CEO of EDT. “We discovered that Steadicopter’s systems, already utilized by various military forces globally and successfully tested in numerous missions, fulfill the highest benchmarks and requirements of our clients. We take pride in introducing them in the UAE, leveraging the strengths of both organizations and our relevant accumulated expertise, anticipating a long-term partnership that addresses the needs of various defense and homeland security agencies. We remain focused on investments and collaborations that cater to both present and future requirements.”
“We express our gratitude to EDT for their trust in the unique and established systems created by Steadicopter,” states Noam Lidor, VP Sales, Marketing & Business Development at Steadicopter. “We are convinced that, together, we can offer comprehensive solutions to a variety of end users. At the forthcoming IDEX exhibition in Abu Dhabi, we will unveil, for the first time, the Black Eagle 50H in its new configuration, tailored for intelligence missions in challenging environments, as well as for safeguarding land and maritime borders.”

Steadicopter’s Eagle series offers unparalleled, innovative, and tested solutions suitable for a broad spectrum of military, homeland security, and civilian uses. The Eagle series features fully-equipped options for any field requirement, facilitating vertical take-offs and landings and stable hovering, complemented by advanced mission sensor suites for both day and night operations. With a platform weight of only approximately 20 kg, each model is capable of accommodating additional batteries for extended flight durations, heavier loads, and much more.
The Black Eagle 50H marks the first hybrid-powered unmanned helicopter. With a maximum takeoff weight of 50 kg, this system can transport multiple payloads and boasts an impressive flight duration of up to five hours – a remarkably high endurance compared to other VTOL platforms when carrying such substantial payloads. This grants superior performance and optimum operational flexibility for an array of applications, including military operations, low-intensity conflicts, law enforcement, search & rescue missions, cybersecurity, intelligence gathering, offshore rigs, strategic infrastructure security, sophisticated maritime missions, and civilian uses.
