“Unlocking Aerial Excellence: GA-ASI Teams Up with Ramco for Worldwide SkyGuardian Support”
SkyGuardian® Global Support Solutions (SGSS), a sustainment initiative launched by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) in 2021, unveils a new collaboration with Ramco Systems. As part of this alliance, Ramco will furnish its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software platform tailored for Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) services to bolster the MQ-9B SkyGuardian and SeaGuardian® Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) systems. The Ramco Aviation MRO Suite offers comprehensive support for MRO necessities concerning MQ-9B systems, which encompasses line, component, engine, hangar, and OEM aftermarket services.
“Ramco’s cutting-edge technology positions it at the forefront of the industry by delivering a complete solution for digitizing MRO operations, optimizing turnaround times (TAT), enhancing customer satisfaction, ensuring service level compliance, timely delivery, and managing other intricate business operations,” stated GA-ASI Vice President of Sustainment, Sam Richardson.
With 25 years of aviation proficiency, Ramco infuses the most effective industry MRO digital management practices into SkyGuardian and SeaGuardian users.
“Gaining the confidence of a global leader in unmanned aerial systems is a significant milestone for Ramco. Ramco’s extensive aviation capabilities developed over the past 25 years, enhanced by next-generation, innovative features, will maximize the operational efficiency of the SkyGuardian program. We are thrilled to be integrated into this crucial MQ-9B program,” remarked Manoj Kumar Singh, President of Ramco Systems Corporation, USA & Chief Customer Officer – Aviation, Aerospace & Defense, Ramco Systems.
The SGSS initiative aids GA-ASI clients operating the MQ-9B. This program equips operators with comprehensive sustainment solutions to ensure peak system availability, uniformity, and extensive training services. SGSS reduces lifecycle expenditures for clients by distributing the cost of sustainment across all MQ-9B users. The strategy unifies resources, particularly for regional operators, creating synergies in procurement, management, and depot repairs. This “Consolidated Fleet” method for SkyGuardian operators offers collective purchasing power, incentivizing suppliers and subcontractors to establish long-term contracts and innovative solutions that elevate customer support and cost reductions, which are ultimately transferred to the client. MQ-9B clients, regardless of fleet size, benefit from substantial lifecycle savings.
