Héli-Union Expands Fleet with Acquisition of Two Cutting-Edge Airbus H160s
Airbus Helicopters has joined forces with its esteemed partner Héli-Union to finalize a contract for the acquisition of two versatile H160 helicopters, designed to meet diverse operational demands.
“We are thrilled to become one of the first customers introducing the H160, thereby expanding our existing fleet of 40 helicopters. With an impressive 68 patents, the H160 encapsulates the latest technological advancements from Airbus Helicopters, aimed at enhancing safety and passenger comfort. The Blue Edge blades and the innovative, larger shrouded Fenestron tail rotor significantly minimize noise levels, while optimizing performance. Its compact design is particularly beneficial for landing on oil platforms. As a multi-mission helicopter, the H160 is engineered to effectively tackle all critical missions, including offshore transportation, emergency medical services, search and rescue operations, and other essential public service tasks. The flexible nature of the H160 makes it ideal for various operations worldwide.
Currently, Héli-Union operates a fleet of around 20 Airbus helicopters from the renowned Dauphin, H225, and H145 families, while also providing maintenance services for a broad spectrum of Airbus Helicopters products to both civil and defense operators.
