Hensoldt Enhances CAE’s Aviation Monitoring Capabilities with Advanced Radar Technology
HENSOLDT, a specialist in sensor solutions, will deliver another versatile multi-mission surveillance radar, PrecISR™, to one of the largest aerial surveillance providers, CAE Aviation, located in Luxembourg. CAE Aviation, which commands an extensive fleet of surveillance aircraft, has reaffirmed its confidence in HENSOLDT by awarding a contract for a new PrecISR™1000. This marks the second order, following the delivery of the first PrecISR™ in 2021.
PrecISR™ radars are presently utilized by skilled ISR operators from CAE Aviation in demanding operational environments for various mission types tailored to highly exacting end-users.
PrecISR™ boasts remarkable Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and Ground Moving Target Indicator (GMTI) functionalities, equipping its operators to identify and monitor a vast array of small moving targets of interest (troops, convoys, suspicious vehicles, etc.) in real time. The advanced technology of PrecISR™ guarantees reliable and precise surveillance of both static and dynamic threats, even under harsh weather conditions that could hinder EO/IR sensor performance.
“We take immense pride in CAE Aviation’s continued investment in new ISR capabilities through their ongoing trust in our plug-and-play high-performance radar,” stated Pierre Marquis, Sales Director for Airborne ISR Radars at HENSOLDT.
“The adaptability of the HENSOLDT PrecISR™ 1000 radar enables us to satisfy the requirements of our most demanding clientele, regardless of the mission profiles we undertake,” remarked David Attali, CEO of CAE Aviation.
PrecISR™ represents the ideal solution for an operationally tested and combat-ready multi-mission radar system. Due to its compact design, integrating PrecISR™ into airborne platforms is considerably simplified compared to other radar systems.
The exceptional performance of PrecISR™ empowers airborne operators to conduct extensive area surveillance in a single flight pass, achieving outstanding results in real time over ranges of up to 370 km. Even in the harshest environmental conditions and challenging sea states, PrecISR™ operators enjoy unparalleled situational awareness coupled with substantial flight cost efficiencies.
