Leonardo is excited to share that Alessandro Profumo has been appointed as the President of the AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD). As the CEO of Leonardo, Profumo will lead this influential organization for the upcoming two years, representing the largest companies and over 3,000 SMEs as well as various associations from 18 European countries. This appointment was confirmed during a special virtual meeting of the Association’s Board.
“I am truly honored to accept this position, embracing the responsibility it carries for our future. I take pride in our industry’s resilience during the Covid-19 emergency, where we facilitated the transport of patients, healthcare professionals, and critical medical supplies where they were urgently needed. Our capabilities ensured effective communication, transportation, and monitoring, including from space, as well as maintaining physical and digital security both in Italy and globally,” remarked Alessandro Profumo.
