Innovative Russian Company Unveils Sleek Anti-Drone Technology
Rostec State Corporation’s Ruselectronics Holding has introduced an innovative mobile anti-drone solution.
According to the company’s announcement, this system is delivered in three variations. The apparatus can effectively disrupt drone control within a 2 km radius, while remaining undetectable and resilient to radio countermeasures. Deployment of the system takes under 30 minutes.
The system, named “Protection”, is engineered to identify aircraft types within a full 360-degree scope at distances up to 2 km. Additionally, it can pinpoint the remote control signals of the drone and sever the communication link to the aircraft. This ensures constant frequency jamming within the spectrum of 400 to 6200 MHz, commonly utilized for drone control. Concurrently, it disrupts navigation signals from global satellite systems.
The passive coherent radar system, Zashchita, operates without radiating the target, relying instead on signals from external transmitters—specifically, digital TV broadcast waves reflected from the target. The lack of an active locator ensures that the system remains hidden from foreign interception, which significantly minimizes the risk of radio interference. Moreover, the passive radar does not require authorization for radio frequency usage, facilitating its application in civilian environments.
The Zashchita system enhances the portfolio of anti-drone solutions developed by Ruselectronics enterprises.
This initiative is being executed under Rostec through the Vector Research Institute of the Vega concern associated with the Ruselectronics holding.
