Revolutionizing Defense: 785 Advanced Military Logistics Trucks for the Dutch Armed Forces
IDV has been awarded the WTB tender by the Materiel and IT Command (COMMIT) of the Dutch Ministry of Defence for the supply and logistical assistance of 785 military logistics vehicles. These trucks will considerably improve the operational capacities of the Dutch Armed Forces and are scheduled for delivery from 2027 to 2029.
As per the procurement agreement, IDV will provide 8×8 and 6×4 military trucks in three configurations: Semitrailer Tractor, Recovery, and Hook-lift, available in both armored and unarmored variants. These vehicles are recognized for their exceptional mobility, agility, and reliability, ensuring consistent logistical support across diverse platforms and multiple EU member states. The contract further encompasses the potential for an additional batch of 785 vehicles along with comprehensive logistical support for a minimum period of 15 years.
This recent recognition marks another pivotal milestone in the ongoing partnership between IDV and the Dutch Ministry of Defence, following the successful 12kN Manticore Project, which resulted in an order of 1,283 MTV (Multirole Tactical Vehicle) units. IDV continues to position itself as a trusted partner for the Dutch Armed Forces, reinforcing its reputation as a leading manufacturer of ground military platforms in Europe.
Claudio Catalano, CEO of IDV, stated: “This distinguished recognition further enhances IDV’s role as a vital player in the design, production, and supply of high-mobility protected vehicles for defense applications. With over 90 years of experience, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of survivability, performance, dependability, and safety to fulfill the varied needs of the Dutch Armed Forces.”
