Introducing the B-21 Raider: Northrop Grumman’s Next Generation Stealth Bomber!

Northrop Grumman Corporation, in collaboration with the U.S. Air Force, is set to reveal the B-21 Raider in the initial week of December at the company’s facility in Palmdale, California.

The B-21 Raider launch will mark a significant occasion, offering an exclusive glimpse of the B-21 aircraft.

“The B-21 is the most sophisticated military aircraft ever constructed and represents a fusion of groundbreaking innovation and technological excellence,” stated Doug Young, sector vice president and general manager of Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems. “The Raider exemplifies the commitment and expertise of the thousands of individuals laboring daily to deliver this aircraft.”

Since receiving the contract in 2015, Northrop Grumman has assembled a nationwide consortium to design, evaluate, and construct the globe’s most cutting-edge strike aircraft. The B-21 is a result of Northrop Grumman’s avant-garde digital engineering methods and advanced manufacturing practices combined with revolutionary stealth technology.

“Northrop Grumman is honored to partner with the U.S. Air Force as we produce the B-21 Raider, a sixth-generation aircraft tailored for operations in highly contested settings,” commented Tom Jones, corporate vice president and president of Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems.

Six B-21 test aircraft are at various phases of final assembly in Palmdale, California. Northrop Grumman and the U.S. Air Force confirmed in May that the first flight of the B-21 is slated for 2023. The actual schedule of the first flight will depend on the results of ground tests.

The reveal will occur at Northrop Grumman’s Palmdale location, during an invite-only event.
