Pentagon Greenlights $272 Million Deal for Czech H-1 Helicopter Fleet Expansion

Bell Textron Inc. in Fort Worth, Texas, has secured a significant contract amounting to $272,161,641. This fixed-price-incentive-firm-target contract involves the production and delivery of eight UH-1Y helicopters and four AH-1Z Viper helicopters for the Czech Republic government.

The manufacturing processes will be carried out in Fort Worth, Texas (60% of the work) and Amarillo, Texas (40%). The contract is anticipated to reach completion by November 2023.

The amount of $272,161,641, part of the Foreign Military Sales program, will be allocated at the time of the award, with none set to expire by the end of the current fiscal year. Notably, this contract was awarded without competitive bidding, according to 10 U.S. Code 2304(f)(2)(e).
