“PGZ and Airbus Helicopters Ignite Collaborative Discussions for Tiger HAD Production in Poland”
Radom, Poland – April 28, 2016 – Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) and Airbus Helicopters are collaborating on a two-day workshop held from April 28 to 29 in Radom. This event aims to explore potential cooperation opportunities surrounding the Tiger HAD project within the framework of the Kruk attack helicopter initiative. Attendees included a global network of Tiger HAD suppliers alongside numerous Polish companies engaged in fruitful discussions.
During one-on-one sessions, key suppliers such as **Nexter**, **MBDA**, and **Thales Avionics** connected with PGZ representatives, facilitating an exchange of ideas on multiple collaboration aspects. Airbus Helicopters is dedicated to fostering strong industrial ties with Poland, marking the commencement of the Tiger network through this workshop. This initiative united **14 Tiger companies** and **12 PGZ companies**, focusing on design, production, integration, and maintenance topics.
“Our endeavor goes beyond establishing Tiger production in Poland; we are also constructing a Tiger industrial network, similar to our efforts with the Caracal,” stated Mickael Peru, Managing Director of Airbus Helicopters Polska. “The Tiger is hailed as the most versatile and agile attack helicopter on the battlefield. Our commitment is to empower Poland’s defense industry, enhancing advanced technology and expertise to adapt it as a Polish helicopter,” he added.
Recent collaborative projects include advancements in high-end helicopter manufacturing capabilities, highlighted by the opening of a dedicated research and development center in Łódź last year. With a worldwide industrial presence, Airbus Helicopters operates **31 customer centers internationally** and has established industrial partnerships with **39 countries**, including the **United States**, **China**, **Brazil**, and **Australia**.
