“Fincantieri and EDGE Group Unite for Groundbreaking Multi-Billion Euro Partnership in Shipbuilding”

EDGE, one of the foremost advanced technology and defense conglomerates globally, alongside Fincantieri, a leading entity in the shipbuilding sector, has initiated a contract to establish a joint venture (JV) aimed at seizing global shipbuilding prospects, particularly focusing on the production of an extensive array of advanced naval vessels. EDGE will possess a 51% interest in the joint undertaking, which boasts a commercial pipeline estimated at around 30 billion euros, with managerial oversight provided by Fincantieri. The Abu Dhabi-based joint venture will be granted preferential rights to non-NATO contracts, particularly capitalizing on the appeal of UAE government-to-government arrangements and export financing packages, in addition to several strategic orders from select NATO member nations.
