
Raytheon Secures $212 Million Contract to Enhance UAE’s THAAD Missile Defense System
Raytheon Technologies, based in Woburn, Massachusetts, has secured a significant contract worth $212,760,106 through a Foreign Military Sale (FMS) to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
This contract encompasses a hybrid structure, combining firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-incentive-fee, cost-plus-fixed-fee, and cost-reimbursement elements. As part of this agreement, Raytheon will deliver one Prime Power Unit and provide five years of sustainment services for two Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Army/Navy Transportable Radar Surveillance and Control-Series 2 (AN/TPY-2) Radars.
The work will take place in Woburn, Massachusetts, with additional support services offered in the UAE. The contract performance timeline extends from October 1, 2020, to September 30, 2025. Funding for this initiative will come from the UAE FMS allocation, totaling $212,760,106.
