LONDON, UK — Rotron, a leading UK-based advanced defence technology company, has officially entered into a strategic agreement to be acquired by Ondas Inc. (Nasdaq: ONDS). This move positions Rotron for substantial growth as a prominent supplier of long-range autonomous defence systems.
This acquisition marks a significant milestone in Rotron’s development and is poised to greatly enhance its capacity to offer scalable, mission-critical unmanned and autonomous solutions for defence and security clients across the UK, NATO, and allied regions. Upon finalization, Rotron will become part of Ondas Autonomous Systems, incorporating its advanced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), autonomous strike platforms, and proprietary propulsion technologies into a comprehensive system tailored for modern, contested operational environments.
Founded in the UK and excelling at the crossroads of propulsion, autonomy, and platform design, Rotron has earned a strong reputation for supplying high-performance, attritable unmanned systems optimized for range, manufacturability, and operational resilience. Rotron’s product offerings include long-endurance dual-use vertical take-off and landing systems and next-generation uncrewed combat aerial vehicles meticulously designed for precision autonomous engagements. Flagship platforms such as the Talon multi-role VTOL series and the Defendor one-way autonomous attack system exemplify Rotron’s integrated approach to platform design. Talon features a unique three-bladed rotor head optimized for endurance and stability, while Defendor is driven by Rotron’s proprietary engines, ensuring high-performance tailored for challenging defence missions.
