Raytheon Secures $1.2 Billion Deal to Equip Germany with Advanced Patriot Missile Defense Systems

Raytheon, a division of RTX (NYSE: RTX), has been granted a contract valued at $1.2 billion to provide Germany with Patriot® air and missile defense systems. These advanced systems will enhance Germany’s current aerial defense apparatus with additional Patriot components.

The contract encompasses the latest Patriot Configuration 3+ radar systems, launch platforms, command and control facilities, essential spare parts, and comprehensive support services.

Patriot serves as the cornerstone of air defense for 19 nations, including Germany, the U.S., and Ukraine. The robust, combat-tested effectiveness of Patriot consistently showcases its capability to counter the most sophisticated and intricate threats.

“This agreement underscores the global commitment to state-of-the-art air and missile defense technologies and the unwavering trust in Patriot,” commented Tom Laliberty, president of Land and Air Defense Systems at Raytheon. “With this enhancement, Germany will not only modernize its substantial air defense but also improve its interoperability with allies and bolster a key NATO objective.”

Patriot remains the sole combat-tested, ground-based air and missile defense solution globally designed to neutralize advanced long-range cruise missiles, tactical ballistic missiles, and a broad spectrum of aerial threats. Investments from all Patriot partner nations ensure that this technology is consistently updated, verified, and enhanced.
