Jankel Partners with Oshkosh Defense to Forge a New Era in UK Defense Collaboration

Jankel, a prominent UK pioneer in the design, integration, manufacturing, and support of high-specification defense systems, has forged a collaboration agreement with the US defense firm Oshkosh Defense to leverage the combined strengths and capabilities of both enterprises for the UK defense sector. This alliance has been meticulously structured to spearhead a UK-based coalition of specialists that delivers the Oshkosh JLTV vehicle, fulfilling critical protected mobility needs of the British Armed Forces.

Oshkosh and Jankel are ideally positioned to partner – merging the global market experience, vast portfolio of past achievements, and state-of-the-art technology of Oshkosh with the adaptability, heritage, and UK client orientation of Jankel. This agreement marks the launch of a dynamic coalition of Britain’s foremost experts in vehicle design, integration, support, and project execution, with extensive expertise in consistently addressing UK-specific defense vehicle-related challenges.

The collaboration agreement not only guarantees that the UK Armed Forces gain access to the world-class Oshkosh Defense JLTV to fulfill future Protected Mobility needs, but it also unlocks the capabilities of the UK defense sector and aligns with the recently introduced Land Industrial Strategy (LIS). By acquiring the JLTV through this newly established team, the UK MoD benefits from the economies of scale associated with the substantial US JLTV program while also maximizing local manufacturing, design, integration, onshore SME supply chain, and lifecycle support capabilities.
