Saab Unveils Its Third Advanced GlobalEye Surveillance System

Saab Delivers Third GlobalEye

Saab successfully delivered the third GlobalEye aircraft to the United Arab Emirates on 20 February 2021.

This delivery follows Saab’s earlier handovers of GlobalEye in April and September 2020. The United Arab Emirates has placed an order for a total of five GlobalEye aircraft.

“Achieving three deliveries of a sophisticated solution like GlobalEye within a year highlights Saab’s profound expertise in providing cutting-edge technological solutions and our commitment to honoring our obligations, particularly under current conditions. By managing the entire process, including sensor innovation and integration, we maintain unparalleled control over every crucial aspect of this intricate programme,” states Micael Johansson, President and CEO of Saab.

GlobalEye represents Saab’s state-of-the-art airborne early warning and control solution. It delivers outstanding air, maritime, and ground surveillance capabilities from a single platform. GlobalEye integrates Saab’s Erieye Extended Range Radar along with a variety of additional advanced sensors, utilizing the ultra-long-range Global 6000 aircraft from Bombardier.
