Saab Secures Strategic Partnership with UAE for GlobalEye Support

Saab alongside the Ministry of Defence for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has finalized a contract, and Saab has secured an order for in-service assistance regarding the GlobalEye Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) system. The total value of the order is around USD 190 million with a contractual duration of three years, extending until 2026.

This agreement encompasses maintenance and logistical support, in addition to training services.

“This contract reinforces Saab’s commitment to ensuring that GlobalEye remains fully operational. We are eager to further enhance our collaboration with the UAE Air Force and Air Defence, delivering sustained local support,” remarks Carl-Johan Bergholm, head of Saab’s Surveillance business sector.

GlobalEye is a sophisticated multi-domain AEW&C solution featuring a variety of active and passive sensors that offer extensive range detection and identification capabilities of objects in the air, at sea, and on land.

By supplying real-time intelligence to air forces, ground troops, and naval units, GlobalEye enhances situational awareness of surrounding environments and facilitates early threat detection.
