Singapore Welcomes Its Inaugural H225M Helicopter

The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) has received its initial H225M helicopter in Singapore.

In 2016, Airbus Helicopters formalized an agreement with Singapore’s Ministry of Defence for the procurement of H225M Medium Lift Helicopters.

Commending Singapore on the delivery of the H225Ms, Airbus Helicopters CEO Bruno Even stated: “Airbus is delighted to commemorate this significant achievement with the RSAF. This delivery is especially meaningful as Airbus and the RSAF navigated the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 to facilitate a seamless transfer of the helicopter.”

“The RSAF has been a longstanding collaborator of Airbus since the introduction of the Aerospatiale SA316B Alouette III into service over 50 years ago. We value the confidence Singapore has invested in our helicopters, and we anticipate that the H225Ms will play an essential role in the RSAF for many years ahead,” added Even.

Singapore’s H225M fleet is projected to undertake a broad spectrum of missions, encompassing search and rescue, aeromedical evacuation, as well as humanitarian aid and disaster relief operations.

A combat-tested, multi-functional, and adaptable resource, the H225M empowers military forces to deploy anywhere and at any time. Currently, 104 H225Ms are operational worldwide, having amassed over 143,000 flight hours. The H225M is trusted by Brazil, France, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Thailand, and Kuwait to fulfill their most demanding operations.
