Serbia Secures a Fleet of 12 Cutting-Edge Rafale Fighters

In the company of the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, and the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, the Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation, Éric Trappier, today formalized a contract in Belgrade with the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Serbia, Bratislav Gašić, for the acquisition of 12 Rafale jets intended to enhance the Air Force and Air Defence of the Serbian Armed Forces.

This agreement underscores the significance of the diplomatic ties between France and Serbia, and illustrates the resolve of both Presidents to ensure the success of this collaboration. It further establishes the Rafale as a vital instrument of national sovereignty.

“On behalf of Dassault Aviation and its collaborators, I extend my gratitude to the Serbian authorities for the trust they have shown by selecting the Rafale, and I reassure them of our unwavering commitment to ensure its effective integration into the Serbian Armed Forces. Serbia’s choice to arm itself for the inaugural time with a Dassault aircraft reaffirms the Rafale’s operational superiority and its established excellence in advancing the sovereign interests of a nation,” stated Éric Trappier.
