Raytheon Launches Cybersecurity Academy Expansion in the UK and Kuwait

Raytheon Company’s (NYSE: RTN) Intelligence, Information and Services division is introducing its global Cyber Academy initiative in the United Kingdom and Kuwait through collaborations with the University of Gloucestershire, Lancaster University, and Kuwait University.

These cybersecurity skills development workshops aim to tackle the increasing global cyber talent shortage. The educational programs provide students with practical experience in cybersecurity strategies and methods to detect and resolve network vulnerabilities.

“Cyber threats are not confined by borders; they represent a crucial global security challenge,” stated Dave Wajsgras, president of Raytheon IIS. “We are collaborating closely with esteemed universities and our partners worldwide to prepare the upcoming generation of cyber defenders to counter real-world cyber assaults.”

Raytheon’s Cyber Academy, which was initially established in the United Arab Emirates in 2016, continues to be offered both domestically and in international markets that hold strategic significance for Raytheon’s operations.
