Turkish Combat Aircraft Makes Its Debut at the Paris Airshow
Turkish Aerospace is set to unveil the one-to-one mock-up of the Turkish Fighter at the prestigious International Paris Airshow. This marks the 17th edition of the event, taking place at Le Bourget Airport from June 17-23, 2019. Alongside the Turkish Fighter mock-up, Turkish Aerospace will showcase an impressive array of platforms including ATAK, ANKA, HÜRJET, and GÖKBEY. Notably, the ATAK helicopter will also conduct flight demonstrations, captivating audiences with its capabilities.
This momentous occasion highlights Turkey’s historical progress in aerospace innovation. The Turkish Fighter Project, developed to meet the operational needs of the Turkish Armed Forces, is poised to be publicly displayed for the first time in Paris. This initiative positions Turkey among global leaders in aerospace, showcasing its infrastructure and technological prowess in producing 5th generation jet aircraft, comparable to advanced military capabilities of nations such as the USA, Russia, and China.
In line with its core objectives, Turkish Aerospace aims to enhance the design, production, and certification processes of jet aircraft. All domestic and national resources will be actively utilized to achieve these ambitious goals.
The debut of the Turkish Fighter at the world-renowned Paris Airshow, alongside other Turkish Aerospace products, is sure to draw significant interest. Reflecting on this pivotal showcase, the President and CEO of Turkish Aerospace, Prof. Temel Kotil, stated:
