“Germany Secures Brimstone from MBDA: A Leap Forward for European Unity in Defense”

MBDA has obtained a pact from Germany to manufacture and supply Brimstone 3 precision-guided missiles for the Bundeswehr’s Eurofighter jets. A final assembly plant and a maintenance hub for Brimstone will be inaugurated at MBDA’s Schrobenhausen site for this project.

Eric Béranger, the Chief Executive Officer of MBDA, remarked: “Germany’s procurement of Brimstone 3 represents a critical milestone towards the harmonization of armaments across Europe and fortifying the Bundeswehr’s arsenal. This new production site marks the first of its kind beyond the UK, showcasing the success of the MBDA partnership model in ensuring a sovereign supply of essential European defense capabilities.”

Brimstone 3 is a tactical precision-guided missile renowned for its exceptional combat-tested accuracy, performance, and reliability. The Brimstone 3 enables forces to strike both static and swiftly moving targets with high precision under diverse weather scenarios. Furthermore, Brimstone is being adapted for unmanned aerial vehicles such as the Eurodrone and MQ-9B, and it presents an ideal armament solution for ground combat vehicles, helicopters, and advanced remote platforms.
