Raytheon Secures $182 Million NASAMS Contract from US Army to Boost Ukraine’s Defense

The National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System, commonly referred to as NASAMS™, is a versatile mid-range answer for any air defense operational needs.

Raytheon Missiles & Defense, a branch of Raytheon Technologies (NYSE: RTX), has secured a $182 million contract for the National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System, or NASAMS™, a highly flexible mid-range aerial defense solution. These systems are anticipated to be delivered to Ukraine to address the country’s requirement to shield against sophisticated aerial threats.

Collaboratively designed and manufactured by RMD and Norway’s Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace, NASAMS integrates the Sentinel radar, Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile, and KDA’s Fire Distribution Center. NASAMS furnishes air defenders with a customizable, cutting-edge defense system that enhances their proficiency to detect, engage, and neutralize current and emerging adversary aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, and new cruise missile challenges.
